Prescription Compounding

A compounded medication is a drug that is specifically mixed and prepared for our patients, based on a prescription from the doctor.

There are several reasons why compounded medications are prescribed:

• The medication is not commercially available
• The dosage form or a specific dose for you is not available
• Patients are allergic to an ingredient in the commercial form of the medication such as dye or other ingredients.

Almost all commercially available drug forms can be also compounded. Our pharmacy can prepare capsules, oral liquids (Magic Mouthwash), suppositories, creams, gels, ointments, sublingual medications.
